Welcome to Rider’s
Edge® :the Harley-Davidson Academy of Motorcycling. Whether
you're a two-wheeled novice or a seasoned road veteran, we can help you take
the ride of your life.
Combining the time-tested curriculum developed by the
Motorcycle Safety Foundation® with the passion of Harley-Davidson, the Rider's
Edge® New Rider Course offers hands-on,
real-world experience that can help you learn the skills you need to get the
most out of riding.
A proven blend of classroom
facilitation and range riding, the New Rider Course delivers the basics of
motorcycle operation Harley-Davidson style. You’ll learn from devoted
Rider Coaches certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and Harley-Davidson to
create a relaxed, supportive environment that fosters camaraderie and
confidence. After successful completion of a written and riding skills
evaluation, you'll receive a New Rider Course completion certificate and a MSF Basic RiderCourseSM Completion Card that could
qualify you for discounts on insurance. You'll also receive a Skills Waiver Card that may
exempt you from the riding test that would normally be required in order to
obtain a motorcycle endorsement. But more than that, you'll begin a
journey that lasts a lifetime.

To participate in the New
Rider Course, you will need:
|
|
to know how to ride a bicycle,
|
|
|
a valid automobile driver's license
|
|
|
DOT-approved helmet, protective
eyewear, sturdy pants, long sleeve shirt or jacket, over the ankle boots
or shoes, and full fingered gloves.
|
|
|
|
|
|
You’ll be riding the
492cc Buell®
Blast® , a light easy to handle motorcycle with a
rider-friendly design.
The New Rider Course costs
$295 per person, and includes the use of a Buell Blast.
|
|
The course is held over 4
days, from Thursday to Sunday. All sessions are mandatory, so make sure the
course fits into your schedule. Times are as follows:
